Indiana Beach Amusement Park

If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, then look no further.

Indiana Beach is one of Indiana’s oldest and finest amusement parks, nestled alongside the beautiful shores of Lake Shafer.

It was built in 1926 by the Spackman family and originally named Ideal Beach. At first, it started out as a small lakeside beach with a handful of refreshment stands (and a bath house) – but began to grow in the 30′s and 40′s. Back then it was known for featuring well-known bands in their Ideal Beach Ballroom.
